Ryan Lichterman is the Co-Founder and CEO of Valor Behavioral Health, an outpatient behavioral health organization dedicated to transforming lives through compassionate, evidence-based care. With nearly two decades of experience in the behavioral health field and as a CADC-CAS (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor), Ryan brings both clinical credibility and seasoned leadership to everything he builds. His journey into this work was not accidental — it was a calling he recognized early and has pursued with intention ever since, converting a deep personal passion for helping others into a life’s mission.

Ryan’s path to founding Valor began in Los Angeles, where he spent years building his expertise in the addiction and mental health field before establishing a treatment facility that became a meaningful part of the Southern California recovery community. That experience — navigating a large, complex metropolitan market, building clinical programs from the ground up, and earning the trust of clients, families, and referral partners — shaped the leader he is today. Grounded in more than 20 years of hands-on work in behavioral health, Ryan brings a rare combination of clinical understanding, operational expertise, and genuine human connection to his role. He has since channeled all of that experience into Valor Behavioral Health, growing it into a trusted continuum of care serving adolescents and adults across mental health, substance use disorder, and dual diagnosis programs in the greater Atlanta area.

Under Ryan’s leadership, Valor offers Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient, and standard outpatient programming — each designed to meet clients exactly where they are in their recovery journey. He is passionate about reducing the stigma surrounding mental health and addiction, and about ensuring that high-quality care remains accessible to those who need it most. Ryan leads with heart and drives with purpose — working directly alongside his clinical team, engaging with community partners, and championing a philosophy he doesn’t just preach, but lives every day.
