Levels of Care
Choosing to start treatment can be challenging. The proper level of care is determined by how severe your condition is. That is why the levels of care available at our outpatient treatment center are adaptable and tailored to meet the needs of each patient. By working together, we will figure out what treatment will work best for you.
Levels Of Care
A thorough assessment of the patient’s present mental health and safety concerns occurs before treatment can begin. Following this evaluation, a mental health specialist will advise the patient on the type of care that will help them get back to their normal level of functioning. Routine outpatient care (ROC), intensive outpatient program (IOP), and partial hospitalization program (PHP) are some of the flexible and individualized levels of care offered at Valor Behavioral Health to meet the requirements of each patient. Then we give the participant a more detailed plan customized to their particular issues in each of these levels.
ROC consists of three types of care. There is individual counseling which involves sessions with a therapist. Additionally, medication management and evaluation may be incorporated to see if medication would be helpful. Finally, group therapy entails weekly group sessions with other people with mental health concerns to gain knowledge from one another’s experiences.
IOP treatment teaches patients how to control their stress and deal with their emotional and behavioral issues within the individual, group, or family therapy. This program consists of repeated visits (usually 3-5 days per week) and an average of 3-4 hours of treatment per day. Finally, PHP is an intense, structured program similar to IOP in its therapy; however, it consists of 6 hours of treatment per day and takes place 5-7 days a week.
